Residencies & Fellowships
Community Medical Centers is helping to train doctors and attract faculty specialists through strong partnerships with the UCSF Fresno Medical Education Program and other universities. Some of the best and brightest doctors choose to continue their education in central California because of the unique opportunities available here. More than 300 residents and fellows a year are educated in Community's hospitals. And more than one-third of physicians who train here with UCSF stay in the Valley to practice.
Community Regional Medical Center is the teaching and research hospital where most of our postdoctoral training occurs. It's home to the region's only comprehensive burn center and Level 1 trauma center for a 15,000 square mile region, a high-risk birthing delivery center, a Level 3 neonatal intensive care unit and a Neuroscience Center of Excellence along with other highly acclaimed programs and services. Also, more than 300 ongoing medical research studies address issues important to the Central Valley such as Valley Fever.
