Our Impact
Building a healthier, stronger community. Together.
Caring for Central Valley families requires more than just medical care. Our mission is to better the lives of all those we serve, and that's why we invest millions of dollars throughout our region annually to improve the community’s overall health and wellbeing. Community has historically spent more on uncompensated community benefit than all other Fresno-area hospitals combined.
Our investments are based on input gathered via a community health needs assessment, and can be viewed in our annual community benefit report, a state-mandated report due annually to the California Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI).
2025 Community Health Needs Assessment
The CHNA is a collaborative effort between Hospital Council of Northern and Central California and seven regional hospitals and public health department partners. Community members, leaders and key stakeholders representing vulnerable populations provide input through an online survey, focus groups and interviews.
2025–2028 Fiscal Year Implementation Strategy
Our Implementation Strategy uses the 2025 CHNA to identify and prioritize the health needs that we will primarily focus our Community Benefit activities and resources on for fiscal years 2026-2028.
These are the areas in which we will invest our community benefit funds in the upcoming year.
