Why I chose Community Medical Centers - Community Regional:
I chose Community Regional Medical Center for residency for multiple reasons. Community Regional is a comprehensive health care system that comprises a Level I Trauma Center, a regional burn center, and a Level III NICU. It not only offers a broad spectrum of clinical experiences in various specialties (such as critical care settings, emergency medicine, oncology, etc.), but also the opportunity to care for a socioeconomically diverse patient population.

Its affiliation with UCSF promotes a strong teaching-learning environment, and its constant expansion fosters endless learning and leadership opportunities. I am confident that Community Regional will prepare me to be a well-rounded clinical pharmacist.

Why I chose Community Medical Centers - Community Regional:
I chose Community Regional Medical Center for my residency because it is a teaching hospital with an affiliation with UCSF and it is the only Level 1 trauma center between Sacramento and Los Angeles. I felt that this combination would provide me with unique and valuable learning experiences to better prepare me for a career as a clinical pharmacist.

Furthermore, I appreciated that the program has dedicated and specialized preceptors who actively participate during rounds with the medical team.
