A Home
Away From
Home
When a critically ill or injured patient arrives at Community Regional, their family is usually close behind. Those family members must often be away from home for an extended time — making a hotel stay difficult and expensive.
Terry's House provides a safe, compassionate and supportive environment where families can be close to their loved ones while they recover.

This home-away-from-home was named in honor of Terry Richards. When Terry was 5 years old, he was seriously injured in a car accident. For nearly five months his mother traveled almost 80 miles a day to be by her son's side while he recovered at the hospital.
A gift from Terry’s brother, Tom Richards, and many other generous donors in our community made Terry's House a reality in 2011.
In the last 15 years, we've helped so many families — but there are still more that need our support. With your help, we'll expand services at Terry's House, giving families in the Central Valley and beyond a place to stay while they support their loved ones.
