Our Bariatric Support System

Continuing your journey to health and happiness after weight-loss surgery.

A new chapter of your life is about to begin! And we will be with you every step of the way. From our surgeon-led seminars to our bariatric support groups, we want to give you all of the tools for success. The process of adjusting to life after surgery will take some time and effort, but we’ll do all we can to help you stay on course.

To truly succeed, weight-loss surgery recovery will require a change in the way you live your life, and your body and mind will take a while to adjust, which actually begins before you leave the hospital. For instance, while you are preparing for surgery, you will be cared for by nurses and other professionals who are dedicated to the Fresno bariatric program. You may also be visited by the bariatric registered dietician and psychologist. These committed team members will teach you breathing exercises, how to care for your incisions, what diet to follow and what to look out for after you get home. You will also be given written instructions regarding these issues as well as what medications your doctor would like you to continue, stop, or change.
