You will need a nutritional evaluation from a registered dietitian and psychological evaluation from a psychologist specializing in weight-loss surgery clearance.

The Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Patient Resource Guide has been created for you and will be provided prior to surgery. After your surgery you will be cared for by specially-trained weight-loss nurses and staff.
Step 5: Receive Aftercare
You’ll be encouraged by the nursing staff to be up and moving after your procedure as much as possible. During your stay, you’ll receive visits from our registered dietitians and weight-loss surgery navigators to provide additional information on diet, exercise, and a successful post-operative experience.
Upon discharge from the hospital, you’ll be given specific instructions for what to do once you’re home. Follow-up visits with your surgeon and regular support group attendance will be key to your success and ensure your safe recovery.
