We cannot thank our donors enough for their generosity! We have so many families that call Terry’s House home for months on end while their loved ones are healing across the street at Community Regional Medical Center.

The three girls have been living in the hospitality house while loved ones are in Community Regional so they had to start school in Fresno instead of their home towns.

But this summer, our home was full of little ones like never before! We even had a couple of kiddos that had to enroll and start school here, in Fresno, because their family member still wasn’t ready to go home. 

Can you imagine being a 5-year-old, staying in an unfamiliar place for months and then starting kindergarten in a whole new city? We wanted to do whatever we could to make it easier and help these girls embrace the spirit of “Back to School.” 

We were able to purchase some backpacks and school supplies for three special little girls staying at Terry’s House, thanks to Juanita’s Fund, established by the Bennett Family Foundation. This is just one thing these amazing donors have helped us do for our families over the course of this last year. It’s the “little things” that really make a difference during a difficult and unexpected time. And, it’s gifts like these that make Terry’s House such a unique place.

Valerye, Leilani and Briseth started school last week with their new (and very pink) gear and could not wait to tell us all about it when they came home to Terry’s House that first day. Too cute! It is so comforting to know we provided them a small piece of happiness during their stay and it is a memory they will hold on to for years to come. Our families are cared for in many ways they didn’t know possible because of donors like the Bennett Family Foundation. THANK YOU from the bottom of our pink and girly little hearts!
