Eligibility

Candidates must either finish their master’s degree prior to the start of the fellowship or be entering a required third year fellowship necessary to complete a master’s degree. In either case, applicants must be from a healthcare management program, business administration program or related field of study.


Required Materials

Please follow these guidelines when submitting the required documents on our application portal no later than 11:59 p.m. PT on Tuesday, September 30, 2025.


Submit a consolidated PDF of the following documents uploaded to the "Cover Letter" section of the application:


  • Resumé

  • Three letters of recommendation (one academic, one professional and one other)

  • Official or unofficial graduate transcript

  • Essay (500 words or less) addressing one of the following topics: 

    1. In recent years, the healthcare industry has shifted from a fee-for-service model to a value-based care model. This transition emphasizes improving patient outcomes, reducing healthcare costs and enhancing the overall patient experience. However, change can be difficult when transitioning care models. Identify and explore the key challenges and solutions healthcare systems face when implementing value-based care.

    1. Continuity of care and patient experience are critical criteria in how health systems measure operating performance. However, many systems suffer from fragmented care due to siloed departments, specialties and healthcare providers. Discuss the impact of silos in healthcare and propose possible solutions for building collaborative partnerships applicable to a regional health system.

  3. First-Round Virtual Interview: Early October 2025
  4. Second-Round Virtual Interview: Mid October 2025
  5. On-site Interviews: October 22-24, 2025 
  6. Decisions: End of October 2025
  7. Start Date: June 2026
