Last evening, CMC hosted a celebration event to honor employees with various milestone service years…123 employees were recognized for a cumulative 3, 360 years! One employee was honored for 50 years at CMC…whoa! I hope that when he writes his book of all the adventures along the way that he will not forget us little people-hehe. Dr. Tom Utecht and I were the MC duo for the evening and it was down right fun to see everyone enjoying the evening of food, fellowship, and frivolity. It was great to have representatives from the Board of Trustees too, including the Chair.
Folks day in and day out do amazing things at CMC and it was a privilege to formally honor so many who have contributed to the strength, services, and success of Community. I am continually amazed by the incredible care given in our system and across the care continuum. Every level of direct care providers and all that work peripherally to support them are to be admired. There are regular challenges, but somehow everyone finds the motivation, desire, and skill to do what needs to be done.
The highlight of the evening is the raffle drawing with giveaways…what a hoot to see how folks were waiting for the last number to be read on the ticket in hopes that it would be them. I hope those going to the baseball games will be rooting for the Giants!!!
I also hope the attendees felt honored, uplifted, celebrated, and appreciated because they ALL deserved it! Mega thanks to all who worked to put on a GREAT event!
