So when someone decides to donate to Community, their contribution goes into a “Foundation Fund” specific to their request – whether they choose to benefit Terry’s House, NICU, Burn, Trauma, Neuroscience, or simply wherever the need is greatest, the list is endless!
One of the things I love most about my job is how I personally get to release these donated funds to fulfill their purpose and then Foundation reports back to the donor how much they helped in providing those means. So cool!
Just today I processed several requests to pay for nursing education and training, outreach programs and even ventilators for the 10-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) coming soon to Community Regional. So even though our donors aren’t the ones directly giving life, they provide philanthropic support that pays for other necessary items that would otherwise be unavailable.
We are so grateful to receive such support and good-will from our outside donors and our employee donors, y’all are so vital to our mission in providing the best possible care. Thank you! When you decide to become a Community donor, think of all the good you are doing!
A charitable donation is tax-deductible by-the-way, but that’s another blog…..
