Oh well, it's only one time per year, right? I like the saying: "It's not what you do between Thanksgiving and New Years, it's what you do between New Years and Thanksgiving".
My motto around the Holiday season is: definitely enjoy, don't get too hung up on the extra consumption, and mainly have a good time celebrating with colleagues, friends, and family. I do try to pace myself as I end up being invited to many events. I try to consume plenty of water before, during and after the events to moderate the impact of rich food and drinks.
