Lewis Creek hike (March 2015) |
I was called a fibber when we hiked Lewis Creek last season for there was no creek and only a trickle of a waterfall. Now, thanks to a wet winter we have amazing waterfalls and streams. So, Community Medical Centers’ employees, grab a co-worker, your family members and close friends, and come on out to hike Lewis Creek located just outside of Oakhurst. I promise there will be a creek!

Lewis Creek |
Easy: Hikers will start from a parking lot right off of Highway 41 where you can walk right into the trail bypassing a lot of the steep uphill climbing parts of the trail.
Difficult: We will start at the bottom of the trail and hike past a couple of beautiful waterfalls. Then catch up with the others for lunch at Red Rock Falls. Well worth the extra effort.
Hike Details: The first hike of the season will be at Lewis Creek located just a few minutes above Oakhurst.
Date: Saturday, April 16, 2016
Meet time and location: Meet at 8 a.m. sharp at the Starbucks located at Friant and Fort Washington.
What’s next? With all this water and future snow melt, waterfalls in Yosemite are on full display. We will be heading up to Yosemite to hike Vernal and Nevada Falls soon – so plan on purchasing an annual pass to Yosemite.
For questions or concerns, find more hiking details and my contact information in your Community email. I am more than happy help you. Let’s go hiking!
