Clovis Community Fertility Center passed a rigorous review by an outside accreditation organization with excellent results. For patients of the fertility services at Clovis Community Medical Center, this is extra validation that the embryology lab meets the highest standards.

The center has helped couples start families since 1985 with personalized and confidential help. It is the only fully accredited Level 3 fertility program in the Valley, able to help with the most difficult problems and diagnoses and to provide a full spectrum of services, including in vitro fertilization (IVF), ovulation induction, artificial insemination and laparoscopic surgery. Clovis Community’s fertility center draws patients from Los Angeles to Sacramento and as far away as China and the Middle East.
 

Dr. Michael Synn, one of the region’s leading gynecology and fertility specialists and medical director of Community’s in-vitro fertilization embryology laboratory called the accreditation by the Joint Commission a “huge success.” He added that he was proud of the “outstanding achievements” of the embryology lab and its team during the focused and specialized survey, which was separate from the general hospital survey.
 

The Joint Commission, an independent not-for-profit, is the nation’s predominant standards-setting and accrediting organization, evaluating nearly 15,000 health care organizations and programs. The Joint Commission’s comprehensive accreditation is recognized nationwide as a symbol of excellence that reflects an organization’s commitment to patient safety, quality and delivery of critical care services. The detailed review is designed to help hospitals find areas to implement improvements.
