This week is National Sterile Processing Week and Community Medical Centers would like to take a moment to thank every Sterile Processing professional for a job well done!
National Sterile Processing Appreciation Week recognizes the committed specialists that fill Sterile Processing departments and make a difference in patient care throughout the United States.
Sterile Processing Technicians are being celebrated for their important role and commitment to patient safety during the annual National Sterile Processing Week, October 9-13, 2017.
Sterile processing technicians are responsible for processing surgical instruments, supplies and equipment. They provide support to patient-care services with their responsibilities encompassing cleaning and decontamination, sterilization, assembly, storage and distribution of surgical instruments needed for patient care. They also perform daily testing on all sterilization equipment and routine biological monitoring of each load to ensure sterilization parameters are met.
Because of your tireless dedication, your healthcare customers can count on clean and sterile instruments being delivered consistently – and on time. With your ongoing due diligence and dependable equipment and process monitoring, surgeries can be performed without delay. And with your unwavering adherence to industry standards, best practices, and policies and procedures, patient safety is never sacrificed. All of this is because of you.
Please join us in honoring these dedicated sterile processing department professionals by celebrating National Sterile Processing Week, October 9 - 13.
