I have always dreamed of becoming a nurse. But as a working mom of four, I could never figure out how to make it a reality. I thought, “I am already too old to do it.” But my daughter said, “Mom, it’s never too late to do what you want and follow your dream.”

And then one day while working as an environmental services technician at Community, I heard about a new program they offer that pays employees to go to class, do hands-on training, and then take the state exam to become a certified nursing assistant. 

And my dream became a reality! I just passed my exam and am now officially on the road to becoming a registered nurse.

I never thought it was possible to do something like this while on the job, but I will be forever grateful for the opportunity Community gave me to grow my career. I can't wait to see what other opportunities are ahead!
