Family Birth Center at Community Regional
The birth of your baby is a precious moment, and our goal is to support your experience with home-like surroundings, a warm atmosphere and a highly-skilled clinical team. We'd like you to know that the Women & Children’s Services program at Community Regional Medical Center is the most comprehensive program in the Valley offering the most comprehensive care for both you and your baby.
Our private labor and delivery suites and infant stabilization/warmer units in each room allow your baby to stay with you and your family as much as possible after delivery. For Cesarean births we have four separate delivery and labor/recovery rooms available. Within this setting, you may choose from any available form of anesthesia or natural childbirth. All equipment needed to safeguard the welfare of both mother and baby is close at hand.
Each room features all new state-of-the-art equipment:
Neonatal stabilization equipment (if needed to stabilize preterm babies before going to the neonatal intensive care unit)
Fetal monitor archive charting system
Panda baby warmers
During labor fathers/spouses and family are welcome. We encourage fathers attending the birth to take an active support role throughout labor and delivery — whether the birth is vaginal or Cesarean. Siblings, grandparents or other family members may be present at the birth; however, siblings must be accompanied by an adult other than the mother's support person.
Community Family Birth Center features:
22 private labor and delivery rooms
Three surgical suites for cesarean sections
Post anesthesia care unit (PACU) recovery rooms
10-bed outpatient assessment area
