You can track and share important information like baby’s feeding times, diaper changes, breast milk pumping amounts, measurements, immunizations and more.

 

2018 Prepared Private Evening Childbirth Class - $142 per couple

This private class condenses the four-week series into 3.5 hours of individualized instruction. It's designed to meet the needs of expectant parents seeking a private class option or for those who have time constraints. Private classes are located at Clovis Community Medical Center in the AOB Conference Room B in Building 721.

  • Course materials are provided
  • Bring two pillows to the childbirth series class and wear comfortable clothing suitable for floor exercise.
  • Class Time: 5:30-9:00 
  • Your ticket includes you plus your support person.


Prepared Childbirth Class (Private Afternoon) - $142 per couple

This private class condenses the four-week series into 3.5 hours of individualized instruction. It's designed to meet the needs of expectant parents seeking a private class option or for those who have time constraints. Private classes are located at Clovis Community Medical Center in the AOB Conference Room B in Building 721.

Prepared Childbirth (Weekend) - $100 per couple

This weekend class begins on Friday evenings from 6:30 - 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. These classes are a condensed version of the four-week series. It helps prepare the expectant mother and her support person for the labor and birth experience. A hospital tour is included.

Topics include:
  • Understanding the labor and birth process
  • Comfort measures during labor
  • Effective labor coaching
  • Relaxation techniques
  • Possible medical options

Other important information:
  • Classes are located in the Outpatient Care Conference Room.
  • It's important the expectant mother and her coach attend all sessions. An expertly trained coach is crucial to the support of the mother.
  • Course materials are provided.
  • Class size for childbirth classes is limited to a maximum of 10 couples to facilitate learning and group interaction.
  • Bring two pillows to each childbirth class and wear comfortable clothing suitable for floor exercise.
  • Your ticket includes you plus your support person.


Prepared Childbirth (4 Week Series) - $100 per couple

This four-week series of classes helps prepare the expectant mother and her support person for the labor and birth experience. A hospital tour is included in this series.

Topics include:
  • Understanding the labor and birth process
  • Comfort measures during labor
  • Effective labor coaching
  • Relaxation techniques
  • Possible medical options

Other important information:
  • Each class meets from 6:30-9:15 p.m. on Tuesday evening.
  • The first class is the beginning of a four class series.
  • Classes are located in the Outpatient Care Center.
  • It's important the expectant mother and her coach attend all sessions. An expertly trained coach is crucial to the support of the mother.
  • Course materials are provided.
  • Class size for childbirth classes is limited to a maximum of 10 couples to facilitate learning and group interaction.
  • Bring two pillows to each childbirth class and wear comfortable clothing suitable for floor exercise.
  • Your ticket includes you plus your support person.


2018 Newborn Care - $63 per couple

This course teaches the newborn care essentials you'll need to know before your baby arrives. Topics include newborn characteristics and abilities, the newborn in the hospital, the circumcision decision and procedures, non-circumcision care, the physical care of the infant, well-baby care, recognizing/treating common infant illnesses, choosing a doctor for your baby, as well as car and crib safety. It's highly recommended both parents attend this class.

Other important information:
  • Please enter through the Outpatient Care Center at Clovis Community Medical Center to the right of the main entrance. The front desk attendant will direct you to the classroom.
  • Class time is from 6:30-9:30 p.m.
  • One ticket is admission for you plus your support person. 


Breastfeeding Essentials - $42 per couple

This course teaches the breastfeeding essentials you'll need to know before your baby arrives. It's HIGHLY recommended both parents attend this class. This course covers the following topics related to breastfeeding:
  • Nutrition basics of breastfeeding
  • How the breast functions
  • Overcoming common problems and difficulties
  • Positions and proper latch
  • How to know if your baby is getting enough to eat
  • Scheduling considerations
  • Milk expression techniques, storage and preparation
  • Self-care and resources

Other important information:
  • Classroom is located at Clovis Community Medical Center in the Outpatient Care Center. Please enter through Outpatient Care, located to the right of the main entrance.
  • The front desk attendant will direct you to the classroom.
  • Your ticket is for you plus your support person. 
 

Infant and Child Lifesaver - $63 per couple

This class provides American Heart Association CPR techniques for infants up to one year old and children up to eight years old. Also included are choking, accident prevention, and emergency preparedness. It's highly recommended both parents attend this class. This class does not provide certification in CPR.

  • Class meets from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
  • Classes are located in our Outpatient Care Center at Clovis Community Medical Center
  • Your ticket includes you plus your support person.
