The Story of Terry's House

Terry's House is a special place where families can rest their heads, warm their meals and find comfort in the support of other families who are also in similar circumstances.

This home-away-from-home was named in honor of Terry Richards. When Terry was 5 years old, he was seriously injured in a car accident.

For nearly five months his mother traveled almost 80 miles a day to be by her son's side while he recovered at the hospital.

A gift from Terry’s brother, Tom Richards, and many other generous donors in our community made Terry's House a reality in 2011.

Today, the home currently serves about 1,000 people a year. Our hope is to ease the stress of families during some of their most challenging times.
