Paid Time Off (vacation, holiday, sick)
Full-time staff: Employees can accrue up to 22 holiday/vacation days, 3 sick days, and 6 extended sick leave days, for a total of 31 days for service up to 5 years. For 5 to 9 years, 36 days a year. For 10 years or more, 41 days a year.
Part-time staff (20hrs/week): Employees will accrue 9.5 holiday/vacation days, 3 sick days, and 3 extended sick leave days, for a total of to 15.5 days for service up to 5 years. For 5 to 9 years, 18 days a year. For 10 years or more, 20.5 days a year. Actual accrual is based on hours worked, therefore, accrued paid time off may increase as hours worked increase.
Medical Leave of Absence
Full- and part-time employees are allowed medical leave of absence without pay.
Personal or Educational Leave of Absence
Full- and part-time employees are allowed personal or educational leave of absence without pay.
Maternity Leave of Absence
All Community Medical Centers' employees are eligible to receive up to four months of leave for medically certified disability for pregnancy or childbirth.
Family and Medical Leave of Absence
Full-time and part-time (working at least 40 hours a pay period) employees are eligible for up to 12 weeks of leave coordinated with paid leave (if available) for personal illness, birth or adoption of a child, serious illness of a child, or to care for a parent or spouse who has a serious health condition.
Military Leave of Absence
Full- and part-time employees are granted leave without pay to serve in the military.
Organ or Bone Marrow Donation Leave of Absence
Qualified employees may be entitled to take a paid leave of absence for organ donation of up to 30 days and for bone marrow donation of up to 5 business days during any 12 consecutive month period.
Full-time and part-time employees may take up to three days of leave with full pay in case of death in the immediate family, including grandchildren, grandparents, mothers-in-law and fathers-in-law. One day of leave with full pay is granted in case of death of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and spouse's grandparent.
Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, and/or Stalking Victims – Time Off
Pursuant to California law, time off will be granted to employees who are victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and/or stalking and may take this leave without pay.
Serious Crimes Victims - Time Off
Pursuant to California law, time off without pay will be granted to employees who are victims of serious crimes or have a family member who was a victim of a serious crime.
Jury Duty Time Off
Full-time and part-time employees receive their base salary equivalent for a maximum of 30 days while serving as a juror and Per-diem employees are granted this leave without pay.
Time Off To Vote
In accordance with California State law, paid time off is available of up to 2 hours for employees to vote in local, state and national elections that cannot reach their polling place outside of working hours.
