Former and current dental residents, colleagues and Community Medical Centers leaders turned out Oct. 25 at a reception to honor Dr. Stanley Surabian and his family for the generous gift that helped build a dental clinic on the Community Regional Medical Center campus.

Speakers lauded the longtime dentist for his commitment to his profession and to mentoring others in dentistry. They joked about his multi-page resume, his long hours and multiple leadership positions on professional boards.

Dr. Surabian helped create the dental residency program in Fresno and is an associate clinical professor of the University of Pacific's Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, San Francisco.

Dr. Surabian said he was gratified to see how patients appreciated the new Surabian Dental Care Center in the downtown Deran Koligian Ambulatory Care Center.
