Every employee is a health care hero, simply by making sure our patients get the best care possible. However, the employees themselves have picked fellow co-workers they feel go above-and-beyond the call of duty on a regular basis.

MedWatch introduces another special health care hero.  Meet Tim Santos, housekeeping manager at Fresno Heart & Surgical Hospital, recently named California’s “cleanest hospital” from patient survey results.

Tim says his housekeeping staff knows they are a vital part of the patient care and as important to the hospital as the medical team.  Housekeepers at Fresno Heart & Surgical clean each room as if their family member will be the next patient admitted there. With 8-foot tall drapery, carpeting and upholstered furniture in the hospitals luxurious rooms, Tim says his staff has to be skilled with special portable dry cleaning and sanitation machines that you won’t see in other hospital housekeeping departments.

Fresno Heart & Surgical housekeepers, and their manager Tim, are proud to keep their facility sparkling and are happy to do a job that gets rave reviews from patients.
