Why we need Terry's House
Community Regional Medical Center is home to the only Level 1 trauma and comprehensive burn center between Los Angeles and Sacramento – treating patients from a 15,000 square-mile-region that spans nine counties. Here, the most critically sick and injured often are hospitalized for long periods of time.

Family and loved ones play a vital role in the healing process and are encouraged to stay by the patients’ side as they recover, but being far from home can make it difficult for loved ones to stay strong and healthy themselves. Many can’t afford hotel rooms for long stretches of time – especially when faced with unknown medical expenses and are sometimes found sleeping by the bedside, in waiting rooms or even in their cars.

Terry’s house will be a home where families can have a meal, shower, sleep – helping them stay strong for their loved one in the hospital.
