NICU babies benefit from Fansler Foundation gift

Thanks to a $100,000 gift from the Fansler Foundation babies in Community Regional Medical Center’s Level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) have a little more elbow room to help their healing.

The NICU expanded in 2011 – from 65- to 84-beds – making it one of the largest in California. Work completed on the expanded unit includes updated countertops, painting, flooring and equipment.

Hospital system’s “community benefits:" $134 million

Community Medical Centers provided nearly $134 million in uncompensated services to the medically underserved in fiscal year 2010/2011, equivalent to more than 12 percent of its total expenses, according to the nonprofit hospital system’s annual community benefits report filed with the State of California.

Nativity donated to Terry’s House

Terry’s House, a hospitality home for families whose loved ones are receiving critical care at Community Regional Medical Center in downtown Fresno, was the recipient of an anonymous donation – a nativity. Staff and volunteers set up the nativity in the foyer so that families can enjoy a little bit of Christmas as they go to and from visiting their loved ones in the hospital.

Burn Center benefits from California Fireman’s Muster Association Gift

The Leon S. Peters Burn Center at Community Regional Medical Center received a $10,000 gift from the California Fireman’s Muster Association just in time for the holidays.

HGA architects give $20,000 to Clovis Community expansion

HGA, the architecture firm that designed the Clovis Community Medical Center expansion, renewed their commitment to the construction project with another $20,000 gift. Once completed in 2013, the $300 million expansion and renovation project will nearly double the hospital’s capacity and make Clovis Community the only full-service hospital in the area with all private rooms.
