Clovis Expansion Project

Clovis Community Medical Center is on the brink of transformation. Today we’re trusted by local families as a convenient, friendly and clinically advanced hospital for a wide range of medical services. We're now in the midst of a massive expansion that will move an already-favorite hospital to an even higher level of care and service.

This $300 million expansion project will nearly double the hospital’s capacity and make Clovis Community the first full-service hospital in the area with all private rooms. This is projected to be the single biggest job-creation project in Fresno County over the next few years and is among only a handful of major hospital expansions to be launched during this tough economic time.

Highlights include:
  • 5-stories of all-private rooms
  • Dedicated Women’s & Infants’ Pavilion
  • A new multi-tiered parking garage with 659 new parking spaces added
  • 7 new high-tech operating rooms
  • Expanded emergency department that will be 3x larger to accommodate a projected 50,000 visits annually.
  • 600 plus hospital jobs created when fully operational
  • Construction completed in 2009 enhanced the Marjorie E. Radin Breast Care Center and added four new operating rooms, a four-room endoscopy suite and an advanced fertility center.

The board and the management had enough vision to see that Clovis was going to be a growing community. So many people have been helped by this place over the years. I’ve had some great grandbabies born there and been a patient there myself.” – Lou Herwaldt, former Community board member instrumental in securing land for Clovis Community in the ‘70s, & Clovis expansion donor-investor
