Clovis Community Medical Center is on the brink of transformation.
Today we’re trusted by local families as a convenient, friendly and clinically advanced hospital for a wide range of medical services. We're now in the midst of a massive expansion that will move an already-favorite hospital to an even higher level of care and service.
Scheduled to be completed in late 2013, this expansion and renovation will nearly double the hospital’s capacity to 204 private rooms – making Clovis Community the only comprehensive hospital in the area with all-private rooms.
The Clovis Community expansion is one of the biggest job-creation projects in Fresno County in recent years — with 2,500 construction jobs created since it began.
It's among only a handful of major hospital expansions to be launched during this tough economic time. It's also the largest expansion investment Community Medical Centers has made since completing the six-story trauma and critical care building at Community Regional Medical Center in downtown Fresno in 2007.
The Health & Education Conference Center at Clovis Community was made possible by generous donor-investor support. Not originally planned as part of the hospital’s expansion, more than $4.1 million in philanthropic gifts are helping to make it a reality. The Center, located next to the parking structure and hospital’s main entrance, will accommodate the education needs of physicians, employees, patients and families by offering seminars in areas such as mother/baby classes, diabetes management, weight-loss and other Clovis Community services. The Health & Education Conference Center also will be used for continued staff education and training, medical staff meetings and a wide range of clinical educational conferences including those with nationally recognized speakers.
