Clovis Expansion Project

Clovis Community Medical Center is on the brink of transformation.

Today we’re trusted by local families as a convenient, friendly and clinically advanced hospital for a wide range of medical services. We're now in the midst of a massive expansion that will move an already-favorite hospital to an even higher level of care and service.

Scheduled to be completed in late 2014, this expansion and renovation will nearly double the hospital’s capacity to 204 private rooms – making Clovis Community the only comprehensive hospital in the area with all-private rooms.

The Clovis Community expansion is one of the biggest job-creation projects in Fresno County in recent years — with 2,500 construction jobs created since it began.

It's among only a handful of major hospital expansions to be launched during tough economic times. It's also the largest expansion investment Community Medical Centers has made since completing the six-story trauma and critical care building at Community Regional Medical Center in downtown Fresno in 2007.

Highlights include:
  • 5-story patient bed tower
  • Dedicated Women’s & Infants’ Pavilion
  • H. Marcus Radin Conference Center
  • Multi-tiered parking garage with 659 new parking spaces added
  • 7 new high-tech operating rooms
  • 500 new jobs expected to be created by 2018
  • Construction completed in 2009 enhanced the Marjorie E. Radin Breast Care Center and added four new operating rooms, a four-room endoscopy suite and an advanced fertility center.

H. Marcus Radin Conference Center

The H. Marcus Radin Conference Center at Clovis Community was made possible by generous donor-investor support. Not originally planned as part of the hospital’s expansion, more than $4.2 million in philanthropic gifts helped to make it a reality. The Center, located next to the parking structure and hospital’s main entrance, will accommodate the education needs of physicians, employees, patients and families by offering seminars in areas such as mother/baby classes, diabetes management, weight-loss and other Clovis Community services. The Marcus Radin Conference Center also will be used for continued staff education and training, medical staff meetings and a wide range of clinical educational conferences including those with nationally recognized speakers.

Features:
  • 216 seat auditorium
  • 100-seat foyer with monitors displaying auditorium screen presentations
  • Larger 50-seat conference room
  • 2 computer training rooms
  • 2 smaller conference rooms
  • Technology that allows for streaming audio and video from the hospital’s inpatient surgery suites
  • Food service area for catering needs
  • Administrative space

Help us expand our services

The board and the management had enough vision to see that Clovis was going to be a growing community. So many people have been helped by this place over the years. I’ve had some great grandbabies born there and been a patient there myself.” – Lou Herwaldt, former Community board member instrumental in securing land for Clovis Community in the ‘70s, & Clovis expansion donor-investor

Private donations will be needed to complete the vision. You can be a part of it with a private gift. Whether it’s a $20 contribution or a major gift to name a part of the hospital, you can help by contacting Community Medical Foundation at (559) 459-2670 or by giving online.
