Burn Center benefits from California Fireman’s Muster Association Gift

The Leon S. Peters Burn Center at Community Regional Medical Center received a $10,000 gift from the California Fireman’s Muster Association just in time for the holidays.

Lt. Joe Rosa, Sr. and his son Capt. Joe Rosa, Jr. both from the Tulare County Fire Department represented the association and presented the gift to the care team in the burn center – the only comprehensive, regional burn center between Los Angeles and Sacramento.

The California Firemen's Muster Association was formed in 1974 to support and regulate competition (aka musters) amongst fire departments in California. The musters focus on the use of antique fire apparatus and equipment.

Sandra Yovino, director of burn services at Community Regional, said the funds will support the burn center and burn survivors.
