Community Regional Medical Center recently began to offer internet safety classes to educate our employees and the community on the risks to children accessing internet from mobile devices and personal or family computers. It was a powerful, eye-opening experience for many parents and grandparents – hitting on familiar and not so familiar issues such as cyberbullying, sexting, exposure to inappropriate content, posting of personal and indecent photos or information, as well as hackers, predators and harmful “mobile apps” to watch out for.

As Community Medical Centers’ Chief Medical & Quality Officer, I’m exceedingly proud of our clinicians’ and physicians’ work this past year. Each of our three hospitals recently earned full re-accreditation from The Joint Commission with accolades from the Commission’s surveyors.  Atop that, Community was awarded numerous recognitions for excellence over the past year.

Congratulations everyone for the important strides you’ve made in quality care and improved patient experience.

This response just confirms that eating healthy is top of mind for many people who are also seeking the “secret ingredients” to having a healthy relationship with food.
