"Please submit death certificate."  That was my “good morning” email from a legit insurance company. When I called, they couldn’t find me in their database. Clearly, as I get ready to retire from a 15-year career in healthcare, I’ve not done enough to register as energetically living.

Happy 5th Anniversary Terry’s House!

It’s hard to imagine today how families were able to make it through the tragedy and triumph of an unexpected medical crisis without this special place to rest their heads, warm their meals and find comfort in the support of other families in similar circumstances.

Ralph Garcia, a remarkable friend of Community, sadly left this world on December 20, 2015. But he left his community and his Community Medical Centers a better place because of his love and commitment for our mission and those we serve. I had the privilege of knowing and working with Ralph and would like to leave you all with one of my favorite memories of his giving spirit.

I am proud to work for Community Medical Centers because we as an organization provide remarkable patient care every day.  We have an incredibly important role as the region’s largest healthcare provider and private employer.  For that reason, I believe it is our responsibility, individually and collectively, to be aware of our impact on the environment and be proactive to minimize that impact.

All of us here at Terry's House are still reeling over the incredible display of generosity that CMC employees showed the families who called Terry's House HOME over the holidays. Simply amazing!

So, we thought we would start the year off right, by giving a SHOUT OUT to the many departments and individuals who made this past Christmas season one to remember. The gifts and supplies were bountiful and the cheer, infectious (the good kind!) - from early December through the New Year, CMC Employees truly touched our most precious caregivers staying here at Terry's House!
