“Doing the right thing” is something Community Medical Centers is proud of. We took on pediatrics trauma cases when another hospital no longer could. We’ve answered escalating demand by adding beds and expanding emergency rooms.
It’s not often one of your colleagues makes history on the international front! But when he does, it’s something to share and congratulate. Here’s a quote from the Fresno Bee that says it all: “Berj Apkarian made history last October, becoming the country's first Honorary Consul of the Republic of Armenia.”
Let's just say it outright: a hospital is a very hard place to work. Community staff care for people from every socio-economic and ethnic group, our patients and their families express the full spectrum of human personality and emotions, right here in our rooms and hallways.
Lewis Creek overflowed ... with hikers that is! January 3 was a beautiful day to enjoy Mother Nature with 65 (yes … 65) fellow hikers and their collective 8 to 9 dogs. Attendance more than doubled from the December group hike. I’m so pleased with the Community employee turnout and thank all that showed up. Every hiker did an awesome job and finished strong.
