I am delighted to share the news that Joyce Ezaki-Yamaguchi, a Renal Dietitian for the Home Dialysis Program at Community Regional Medical Center was recently honored with a “Distinguished Service Award” by the California Dietetic Association at their annual awards ceremony in Santa Clara.

Joyce has not only been recognized for her vast achievements during her past three years spent as a State Policy Representative on the Public Policy Panel for the California Dietetic Association, but also for her years of service in various capacities on the Council of Renal Nutrition for the National Kidney Foundation.

In Joyce’s 35 year career as a Renal Dietician she has earned a total of four “Distinguished Service Awards” and was also an honored ‘preceptor of the year’ during her internship. She’s an active member of numerous Nutrition, Dietetic and Diabetes councils and associations and her dedication and action have contributed greatly to the future of her colleagues in Renal Nutrition. Please join me in congratulating her on this great achievement and for her invaluable professional service provided to our organization.
