"Spiritual Well-Being, Nourishing the well-spring" is the theme of the nation-wide Pastoral Care week, October 20-24. Food Day is a nationwide movement for healthy, affordable and sustainable food. And for the love of your health, Community Medical Centers will celebrate Food Day, Oct. 24, with special events at all three of our hospitals. Working over four decades as a nurse, I’ve been privileged to work in different roles.  As direct care nurse in Med Surg, Oncology and ICU, I was able to provide comfort and care to patients and their families at one of the most stressful time in their lives. As Community’s Chief Nurse, I love hosting the nursing scholarship awards ceremony each year and reading the essays from Community Medical Centers’ current and future nurses.

Community Regional Medical Center recently began to offer internet safety classes to educate our employees and the community on the risks to children accessing internet from mobile devices and personal or family computers. As Community Medical Centers’ Chief Medical & Quality Officer, I’m exceedingly proud of our clinicians’ and physicians’ work this past year. Each of our three hospitals recently earned full re-accreditation from The Joint Commission with accolades from the Commission’s surveyors.  Atop that, Community was awarded numerous recognitions for excellence over the past year.

Congratulations everyone for the important strides you’ve made in quality care and improved patient experience.
