The movie “Last Holiday” starring Queen Latifa would’ve had a very different plot if she’d gone to a hospital with a medical physicist after she hit her head at work. The whole movie is based on what she does after a radiologist mistakenly diagnoses a fatal disease because of a faulty MRI machine and then tells her she has three months to live.
Many of us are living our lives so rushed, so task oriented that our minds are functioning on a form of auto pilot and the result is that we may be missing out on truly and intentionally living our lives. We are sliding through the days, unaware of many significant and defining moments in our lives.
In our journey of life we walk and choose many different paths. Some are easy and make sense, while others are difficult, scary and even painful. Sometimes the harder path will yield greater rewards. This leads me to reflect upon the Community Wellness Hike on February 21.
