Something so horrific, so widespread, it is rampant and unbridled and if it goes unchecked can be an outright plague-the common "cold"....oooooh, how I abhor it. I've sat on the couch the last three days watching re-runs of the Andy Griffith show, with piles of kleenex, Zycam, throat lozenges and fluids trying to barrigade myself from further pestilence, all the while trying to comfort my whining husband who claimed to have it worse than me (well, he actually did!).
I was a total pansy and finally today am feeling a bit better, ears are still popping, but I'm up and at 'em. Okay, so I pampered myself, slept off and on for 72 hours, stayed indoors, washed my hands a million times before touching anything, and was a bit embarrassed that I had myself all worked up over a dumb cold!
Man, I need to be thankful for overall good health and that a cold is only an inconvenience, not the end of the world! Good Lord, help me appreciate the relatively unremarkable things a like a darned cold that actually forced me to rest and to not get hung up on the little things!
