I read an article recently about Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and how six million children have been diagnosed with this condition and one million of those six million have also been classified as having Sluggish Cognitive Tempo or SCT (two million children).They report lethargy, day dreaming, and slow mental processing.

Well, if "Little E" can do it (yesterday, March 9th) and not get too upset about it, then I shouldn't either!

It's my own darn fault for pushing the limits and trying to calculate the risk. Oh, and I passed a couple of gas stations along the way but was too much in a hurry to stop for maybe 5 minutes and at least put a few bucks in. I'm sure many can relate to the story...why do I do this? Why do I put myself in that situation? Adventurous, daring, thrill-seeking, audacious, carefree, and venturesome? Not really; just a little unwise perhaps.

Growing up in a small community in the Kern County area, there were many local family farms and I have fond memories of joining my Dad on many an occasion to help him out in the fields. He was a simple man with no formal education due to circumstances beyond his control as a youngster, but he was exceptionally wise.

Fresno Heart and Surgical Hospital (FHSH) is participating in a program with the help of Community Medical Centers Foundation staff that formally recognizes employees that are commended by patients, families, and/or friends, for extraordinary care and customer experience. It's a way for them to say "thank you" in a palpable way.
