I was sitting in the stands last Friday night, at the Giants vs. Dodgers game when Buster Posey came up to bat in the 9thinning with the game tied 1-1.   It was a full count.   “What’s his name again?” I asked Ron, a recent transplant to California. “That’s Buster Posey”, he said. “Watch”.

When my very smart social media advisors recommended we create a title for this blog, they offered up a couple of suggestions.  Some were quite amusing, and pithy, but one stood out to me because it contained the name of our healthcare system – Community.    It’s possible I was just straining to avoid the other titles like “Inside Peg’s Head”, but there was something about this one that caused me to pause, so I looked it up on Wikipedia.  It turns out, the word comm

The other day I had an invitation from a group of employees that caused me to have an Oprah Ah-ha moment.  I was invited to go hiking on the San Joaquin River Gorge.  It was a 9- mile hike and since I’ve always considered myself pretty fit, I wrote back an email with an enthusiastic “Yes!”   I used an exclamation point, darn it.  That’s Internet lingo for "I’m excited. I mean it. I’ll be there.”
