I'm proud to show off Clovis Community's inaugural issue of "The Clovis Way" physican newsletter. I invite you to click on the image below to take a look at the electronic version of this exciting new communication tool for our physicians.

Whether you're a physician, employee or a member of the community, I feel it is important for you to know how we are communicating with our Clovis Medical Staff about the hospital. Enjoy!

It always makes me proud when the hard work of our employees and physicians is recognized by agencies that know healthcare well. Clovis Community Medical Center has just received the highest possible rating for patient safety from an organization that grades hospitals all over the country. We earned the only "A" grade in the region!

Nursing is a healthcare profession that focuses on the care of the patient, families and communities. It is a profession steeped in rich values. For many nurses, it is more than a profession; it is a much higher calling. A great nurse is compassionate, empathetic, selfless, and technically strong with a thirst for knowledge. At Clovis Community, we are fortunate to have many wonderful, caring nurses. They are the front-line for patient care and are strong advocates for continuous improvement.

I just attended the funeral services for a dear friend and Valley legend, Pete P. Peters. Uncle Pete, as many of us called him, was an incredible man that lived a very complete and generous life. He passed away on Tuesday, March 13, just two weeks prior to his 95th birthday and left all who knew him with only wonderful memories and a legacy that will live on as an honor to his quiet, humble, caring and detail-oriented traits.

I want to personally thank each and every one of the people who contributed to the spectacular tour of the expansion for the C-FEAC (Clovis-Facility Executive Advisory Committee) physician group last Thursday evening.

I’d like to take this opportunity to recognize and thank each of our physician leaders at Clovis Community shown in the photo below. With much activity and excitement “building” on the Clovis campus I am reminded of how critical our success is to having key physicians in leadership roles.
