Another Reason To Celebrate

We have been fortunate to celebrate many milestones over the past few months here at Clovis Community - I'm proud to share one more with you. On Nov. 30th, the first robotic case was done here in a brand new, state-of-the-art surgical suite specifically designed to house the da Vinci robot. This dedicated operating room is one of our inpatient operating suites which we recently opened.

Renewed Accreditations Showcase Quality & Teamwork

This fall, various departments throughout Clovis Community participated in an on-site American College of Surgeon's (ACS) Bariatric Surgery Center Network (BSCN) reaccreditation survey to renew our bariatric surgery program's accreditation. I received an email last Friday informing us that our bariatric program has received "full approval" and continues to be recognized as an accredited bariatric surgery center in the ACS's Bariatric Surgery Center Network.

Making History

Our day started officially at 5 am this morning in the command center located on the 3rd floor of the new patient bed tower. As staff arrived, I was amazed to see the obviously prepared team fly into action. In a little more than three hours, we moved about 100 patients including 20 new moms and babies.

I am always proud of our Clovis team, but today will stand out in my mind as a historical moment when we made great strides in improving access to healthcare in the Valley. We are truly transforming the patient experience.

We Did It!

Today marks another milestone in our Clovis expansion project. We've just completed the inspection required by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH). I am pleased to announce that after months of hard work and dedication from Clovis management, staff and physicians, we have successfully received full licensing from CDPH!

Sneak a peek inside the new Clovis Community

I am pleased to announce that on October 25th Clovis Community passed our OSHPD (Office of Statewide Planning and Development) inspection for our expansion project. To fully understand the significance of this milestone, you should know that less than 50% of all hospitals pass this kind of inspection on the first try. Kudos to the Clovis Team!
