The average adult takes 20,000 breaths a day, often without giving it a second thought. But each breath is a complex action during which you lungs take in oxygen from the air and carry it to your bloodstream. For people with lung disease, difficulty breathing can be scary. Lung disease is any disorder that occurs in the lungs or that causes the lungs to not function properly.
We have a multidisciplinary team of physician specialists at Community Regional Medical Center who diagnose and treat various lung issues. A dedicated nurse coordinator manages your care to ensure you move smoothly through the program from diagnosis through treatment.
Lung cancer can go from treatable to untreatable in just a matter of days or weeks. Our Lung Nodule Program at Community Regional has shortened the average time for patients to move from referral to diagnosis of lung cancer from 87 days to just more than 21 days.
