Family Birthing

Giving birth is a lifetime memory, and our caregivers aim to make that memory a precious one. We specialize in providing high-quality care to moms and babies during each stage of labor and delivery. And we have lots of experience – 60% of Fresno County’s babies, more than 11,000 a year, are born at our two birthing facilities.

Clovis Community Medical Center is recognized by families and doctors alike as one of the region’s top birthing centers. It received the Women's Choice Award as one of America's 100 Best Hospitals for Patient Experience in September 2015. This distinct award identifies the nation's best healthcare institutions measured against the needs and preferences of women. The Peters Future Generations Center at Clovis Community offers complete maternity services that ensure the highest quality maternity care available.

Community Regional Medical Center, in downtown Fresno, houses the only perinatology (the specialized care of mothers and their fetuses) program in central California and receives patients from 15 other area hospitals because of its expertise in caring for high-risk pregnancies and deliveries. A neonatologist (a specialist in the care of newborns) is on call 24/7, and a respiratory therapist and trained newborn care staff are available for high-risk babies. Community Regional also is home to a Level 3 neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) which provides top-notch care for infants with complex critical needs, including premature births and a variety of other diagnoses.
