Our comprehensive cancer care program invests in leading-edge technology designed to treat you faster and as non-invasively as possible. And we have the specialists to give you the top-notch care you deserve. We provide medical oncology, radiation oncology, hematology, full-service pharmacy, pain management, research and clinical trials and psychological services. We want to make sure you have all the tools you need for good health – body, mind and spirit.
One of the high-tech tools available to you is the CyberKnife® stereotactic radiosurgery system located at the Charles and Ann Matoian Oncology Unit at Community Regional Medical Center. Community Regional was the first in the world to offer this generation of CyberKnife® technology, one of the newest and most advanced weapons in the war on cancer. CyberKnife® targets cancerous tumors with high doses of radiation delivered with pinpoint accuracy. It’s a knifeless procedure that causes little to no pain. The ability to target cancerous tissue without damaging surrounding healthy tissue significantly shortens your recovery time and eliminates the need for anesthesia and a hospital stay.
The da Vinci® Surgical Robot, used for prostate surgery at our Community Regional facility, gives surgeons and patients alike advantages over traditional surgery. Prostate surgery with da Vinci® means less blood-loss and less postoperative pain.
Our breast cancer patients are treated with a cohesive team of specialists all under one roof at the Marjorie E. Radin Breast Care Center at Clovis Community Medical Center, where we’re dedicated to early detection and expert treatment. High-tech tools such as digital mammography and computer-assisted detection (CAD) are available here.
At the California Cancer Center, we offer education, treatment and support for patients diagnosed with many types of cancer. We employ the most advanced radiation therapy equipment and sophisticated chemotherapy protocols available.
We’re not alone in recognizing the merits of our program. Consider that our Cancer Care program is one of the few in California with teaching-hospital level accreditation from the American College of Surgeons (ACOS) Commission on Cancer, making it the highest ranking program between Sacramento and Bakersfield.
