The Pharmacy Residency program begins July 1 and is one year in length, and offers the following benefits:

I selected this program because it’s a Level I Trauma Center with a great teaching hospital reputation, and because it’s a smaller residency program.  It also had many perks such as paid staffing only every 3rd weekend, own office space, and great clinical pharmacists.  This program was my top choice after I ended up interviewing at 5 different hospitals both in CA and out of state.  3 things I love:  1. our office  2. preceptor support  3.  the physicians I have gotten to know & work with. - Dr. Krista Preckel (2008-2009)

  • Annual base salary of $41,600, paid bi-weekly (overtime salary is extra)
  • Medical, Dental and Vision insurance effective immediately 
  • Accrued Paid Time Off (PTO) that includes: 2 weeks vacation, 9 paid holidays and 6 discretionary days
  • Long Term Disability Coverage equal to 50% of your salary with elective for higher coverage
  • Term Life Insurance ($10,000) effective the first of the month following 30 days of employment
  • Paid attendance at CSHP Seminar, ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting and Western States Residency Conference
  • Free covered parking

Rent for an average apartment ranges from $750 to $1,200 per month for a one to three bedroom apartment.
