Salary & Benefits

The Pharmacy Residency program begins July 1 and is one year in length, and offers the following benefits:

I selected this program because it’s a Level I Trauma Center with a great teaching hospital reputation, and because it’s a smaller residency program.  It also had many perks such as paid staffing only every 3rd weekend, own office space, and great clinical pharmacists.  This program was my top choice after I ended up interviewing at 5 different hospitals both in CA and out of state.  3 things I love:  1. our office  2. preceptor support  3.  the physicians I have gotten to know & work with. - Dr. Krista Preckel (2008-2009)

The biggest reason why I chose the residency program at CRMC was the fact that it is a cutting-edge acute care institution with strong academic affiliations. It provides unique experiences in areas such as emergency medicine, trauma and critical care, while cultivating an ideal learning environment. The program has great support from the entire Pharmacy Services department, and it is evident how dedicated the preceptors and staff are to the residency program. I am confident that this residency will provide me with the clinical and professional skills necessary to pursue my career goals as a clinical pharmacist. -Avo Arikian (2012-2013)

Community Regional Medical Center was an ideal choice for me because it is a large institution with a variety of services that allows for exposure to multiple practice settings. Preceptors and staff are able to provide a welcoming atmosphere balanced with a clear passion for teaching and helping to ensure patients are treated appropriately. I look forward to being challenged and firmly believe I will come away with a foundation that will accelerate my pursuit of a career as a clinical pharmacist.  -Stephen Rettig (2012-2013)
