Sept. 11, 2001, promised to be an exciting day because I was starting production of a series of public service announcements for Community Medical Centers. Commuting via motorcycle, I had no radio to hear the news, so when I arrived at the helicopter pad to film a sunrise shot of an air ambulance landing; I was surprised to learn there was a hitch with the aircraft flying that day.
After being hit by a car, two-year-old Alan had a severed spine. He endured several surgeries at Community Regional Medical Center. After several months of rehabilitation, physical therapy and support, Alan is back to being a kid again.Back to Videos

Founded in 1974, our Emergency Medicine residency was one of the first programs in the country. It offers a four-year program (PGY 1-4) with ten residents a year, featuring a strong emphasis on clinical teaching and hands-on training.

Besides drawing patients from all over the region to its Neuroscience Center of Excellence, Community Regional Medical Center is also home to a joint replacement program, stroke program and Level 1 trauma center that have earned top marks in clinical quality from outside agencies.
Community Regional Medical Center doesn't have just an emergency room, it's a Level 1 Trauma Center. The Table Mountain Rancheria Trauma Center is the only Level 1 trauma center in the 15,000 square-mile service area between Sacramento and Los Angeles.
Community Regional Medical Center was notified it has received verification as a Level 1 trauma center by the Committee on Trauma of the American College of Surgeons (ACS). This achievement recognizes the trauma center's dedication to providing optimal care for injured patients.
