A mammogram is a black and white image of your breast that is used to screen for cancerous or pre-cancerous tumors. Regularly scheduled mammograms, along with monthly self breast exams, are one of the best ways to detect the signs of early breast cancer. Breast cancer treated in its early stages means a better chance of recovery.
