First 5 renews commitment to Community’s asthma program
First 5 Fresno County renewed its commitment to Valley asthma sufferers by giving more than $110,000 to Community Regional Medical Center’s asthma program. This is the fourth consecutive year First 5 will fund the hospital’s Early Childhood Asthma Program.

Ambulatory Care Center gets LEED Certification
The Deran Koligian Ambulatory Care Center at Community Regional Medical Center in downtown Fresno has been awarded LEED Silver Certification. This is the recognized standard for measuring building sustainability according to the Natural Resources Defense Council. Read more.

Historic moment as Community switches to electronic health records
Community Medical Centers implemented a state-of-the-art electronic medical record system starting Sept. 28, which is designed to enhance care and service to patients. Now there is one record for each patient in one electronic location, usable by all of those who provide medical care within the Community network.
Ambulatory Care Center
The Deran Koligian Ambulatory Care Center is a 79,534-square-foot facility just north of Community Regional Medical Center, on the southwest corner of McKenzie Avenue and Wayte Lane. It was named in honor of the late Fresno County Board of Supervisors chairman, who was a longtime advocate of health services for the disadvantaged.
Jaw Surgery
A woman hoping to change her life endures complicated upper and lower jaw surgery. Dr. Gerald Alexander, Community Regional Medical Center oral and maxillofacial surgeon brings many of his patients from his practice to the hospital for surgery. Katie Stater, R.N. is one of his patients and as a nurse she knows first-hand what goes on in the operating room. She puts her trust in Dr. Alexander and his team to fix her upper and lower jaw and chin.
