Requirements

All candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) school or college of pharmacy.
• Licensed or eligible to apply for a license to practice pharmacy in the state of California.
• Completion of at least 1,500 hours of professional pharmacy practice as a pharmacy intern or graduate pharmacist.
• Application for a California Pharmacy Intern License.

After the Match results, the offer of employment is contingent upon successfully passing your pre-employment drug test, health assessment screen, and background investigation.  A set of performance standards has been developed by the employees of Community Medical Centers to establish specific behaviors that all employees are expected to practice while on duty.  By incorporating these standards as a measure of overall work performance, CMC makes it clear that employees are expected to adhere to and practice the standards of performance outlined in the Standards of Performance handbook. All employees are required to read and acknowledge the Standards of Performance Handbook upon hire.

The following are considered during the selection process:

• Professional competence. Based on the candidate's performance in clinical clerkships or other practical experience.
• Scholastic achievement. Based on the candidate's college record.
• Communication skills. Based on the candidate's personal interview, clerkship and academic performance. An on-site interview is required.
• Leadership potential. Based on the nature and extent of the candidate's participation in professional societies, community or public services and social activities.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Comprehension of the current standards of pharmacy practice.
• Understanding of the challenge of professional pharmacy practice.
