Our Role in the Region

Community Medical Centers operates services that allow Valley patients to receive the highest level of care without having to travel far from home.

Like other non-profit health care systems, we reinvest any money we make back into health care facilties and programs. Unlike many others, we're locally owned, and the money we reinvest stays here in the Valley.

CyberKnife at Community Regional Medical CenterWe are a leader in bringing technological advancements like the da Vinci robotic surgery system and the world’s first Generation-4 CyberKnife to the Central Valley.

At Community Regional, we operate the only combined burn and Level 1 trauma centers between Los Angeles and Sacramento.

60% of all Fresno County babies are born at CommunityOur hospitals deliver more than 60% of the babies in Fresno County, with Community Regional operating the Valley’s only perinatology unit for high-risk pregnancies and deliveries. Also, Clovis Community is home to the Community Fertility Center, the only fully accredited Level III fertility program in the Valley.

We operate the only academic regional medical center in central California in a partnership with the UCSF Fresno Medical Education Program. This program trains nearly 200 resident physicians a year, many of whom stay in the Valley to practice medicine, helping to address our region’s chronic shortage of doctors.

And, as Fresno County's largest private employer, we provide more than 6,000 jobs and contribute about $115 million annually to local vendors.
