Opened in late 2003, Fresno Heart & Surgical Hospital (formerly known as Fresno Heart Hospital) is a beautiful facility providing world-class care right here in Fresno. Patients and visitors feel like honored guests in the hotel-like environment that includes all private patient rooms.

A Dedicated Environment
An entire hospital devoted to cardiovascular and surgical care:

• Forty-eight medical-surgical patient rooms, each a private suite that accommodates a patient's overnight guest.
• Nine Intensive Care Rooms.
• Cardiac, Vascular, Bariatric and General Surgery in advanced surgical suites equipped with sophisticated technology utilized to perform the gold standard: minimally invasive surgery.
• Preoperative and Recovery Rooms, and a dedicated Procedural Room. 
• Specialized Cardiac Catheterization and vascular interventional treatment rooms.
• Cardiac Evaluation Center for timely diagnosis and treatment.
• Imaging Center and Clinical Laboratory with diagnostic technology providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services.
• Community Education and participation in Health Screenings at various health-focused fairs.
• Cuisine of Exceptional Restaurant Quality that caters to individual patient needs and tastes while supporting physician ordered restrictions.

The facility is approximately 138,000 square feet consisting of a four-story patient tower connected to a two-story diagnostic and treatment building. The facility has been designed to provide advanced technology promoting an environment that assures patient and family comfort.

The Fresno Heart & Surgical Hospital completed a facilty expansion in the Fall of 2008, which included the addition of two specialty high-tech operating rooms to support our expanded surgical services. Along with that addition, the hospital upgraded the support service areas necessary to maintain the additional operating rooms such as expanding the Pharmacy and adding Surgery pre-op and recovery beds. Fresno Heart & Surgical Hospital also has a Conference & Education Center located on the first floor which seats 144.

The hospital leadership is also working with CMC's executive leadership and Board members on large-range planning as we anticipate a need to increase capacity and services as the healthcare requirements of our community change.

The hospital is located on East Audubon Drive, adjacent to Highway 41 and Woodward Park in north Fresno, where it is highly accessible to patients and convenient for physicians.
