Visiting Hours Gifts for Patients  Waiting Areas
 Dining Hotels  Recreation & Shopping
We believe that family members and friends play a significant and positive role in the recovery of our patients. Visitors are welcome anytime with the exception of the CVU. Additionally, we do not allow children under the age of 12 in patient care areas for infection control reasons. If there are extenuating circumstances that should be considered in allowing children to visit a patient, please discuss this with the nursing staff.

For the CVU, visitors are restricted to the hours of 9:00am to 9:00pm. If you want to visit outside these hours, please check with the patient’s caregiver. We also ask that there are no more than two visitors at a time and that visits be kept short to maintain a quiet environment for all of our patients. If you have any questions regarding visitation, please check with a nurse on the unit.

Patient rooms on the 3rd and 4th floors are furnished with a lounge chair that folds out to a bed. Please ask the caregiver for bedding should one family member or friend desire to spend a night with a patient. Please note we do not offer these beds in the CVU as we encourage family members to allow an intense recovery at this stage. back to top

While your loved one is healing at our hospital, here's some information to make your stay with us more comfortable:

GIFTS FOR PATIENTS
Visitors should check in at the nurse’s station before bringing gifts of food and drink to patients as most are on restricted diets. Fresh flowers and plants may be brought to patients except in the CVU. If an arrangement is received for a CVU patient, it will be held in the main lobby for a family member to take home or until the patient is moved to the 3rd or 4th floor. The Guest Relations staff will bring up the card attached to the arrangement to let the patient know that an arrangement has been delivered. Here's a list of local florists who deliver; there is also a limited selection in our lobby. back to top

WAITING AREAS
There are two designated waiting rooms for visitors on the second floor designed for families to wait while a patient is having a procedure or in surgery; during staff shift changes or if the physician is in with the patient when you come to visit, as well as to provide an alternative location for visitors to spend time outside of the patient’s room. Visitors may also wait in the hospital’s front lobby, the Cardiac Evaluation Center (CEC) Lobby or the Café. back to top
