Stanley R. Surabian, D.D.S., J.D. - CMC Chief of Dental Services
Dr. Stanley Surabian is a graduate of University of Southern California, School of Dentistry. He serves as Community Medical Centers' Chief of Dental Services and Program Director of the Dental General Practice Residency (GPR).

Dr. Surabian is a GPR site-visit consultant for the Commission on Dental Accreditation. He served as Chair of the California Dental Association’s (CDA) Council on Education and Professional Relations and Chair of the CDA Task Forces on Licensure. He serves on the CalDPAC Board and is Chair of the Fresno-Madera Dental Society’s Legislative Committee. He is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, the American Association of Hospital Dentistry, and the Academy of General Dentistry.  Dr. Surabian is a Diplomate of the American Board of Special Care Dentistry in Hospital Dentistry.

Dennis Kalebjian, D.D.S.
Dr. Dennis Kalebjian graduated from University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni school of Dentistry and completed a GPR at then Valley Medical Center. He oversees residents for operating room and clinical cases and serves as part-time faculty.  He maintains a private practice in Fresno.  He is actively involved with both the local dental society and the California Dental Association (CDA). In 2003, Dr. Kalebjian served as President..

In his free-time, he enjoys playing the piano, following his kids’ education and supporting Fresno State Athletics.
 
Ronald Sani, D.D.S.
Dr. Ron Sani graduated from University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, and completed a GPR at then Valley Medical Center. He serves as part-time faculty and oversees residents in the clinic and operating room, and is licensed to teach and administer courses in basic life support. He is actively involved with the Fresno-Madera Dental Society as a member of the Peer Review Committee. He maintains a private practice with an emphasis on young children and hospital dentistry.

In his spare time, Dr. Sani enjoys watching the San Francisco Giants at SBC Park.

Roger Simonian, D.D.S.
Dr. Roger Simonian graduated from University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. He serves as part-time faculty and oversees residents at Community's dental clinic, administers the Skilled Nursing Facility program, and directs the Fansler Foundation Preventative Dental Program.

He maintains a private practice and is active as a Trustee of the Fresno-Madera Dental Society. He recently completed a term on Commission on Dental Accreditation and is also the former President of the Dental Board of California. In his free time, Dr. Simonian enjoys racing Formula Ford cars.

Michelle Asselin, D.D.S.
Dr. Asselin attended California State University, Fresno, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in biological sciences with an emphasis in physiology. She graduated from New York University College of Dentistry in 2003, graduating with honors. She completed a one-year clinical concentration program in oral medicine and pathology and was recognized by the American Academy of Oral Medicine for her interest in disease processes of the oral cavity. She completed a two-year general practice residency program at then University Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident for the 2004-2005 academic year. Dr. Asselin currently practices in Fresno and serves as part-time faculty overseeing residents during general anesthesia cases and coordinates educational programs.

She continues to further her education in the areas of orthodontics, cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry, and is a member of Fresno-Madera Dental Society, California Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, International Association of Orthodontics, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and American Dental Association. 

In her spare time she enjoys traveling, cultural arts, movies and shopping.

Rosaura Pacheco, D.D.S. - Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Rosaura Pacheco is a graduate of UCLA. She completed her GPR and served as Chief Resident year at University Medical Center in 2002.  She completed her pediatric residency at the University of Texas - San Antonio. She currently practices pediatric dentistry in Fresno and serves as part-time faculty overseeing residents in the clinic utilizing oral consious sedation and pediatric techniques.

In her spare time, Dr. Pacheco enjoys reading, yoga, and exercise.  Dr. Pacheco is President-Elect of the Fresno-Madera Dental Society and is Chair of Continuing Education.

Mark Lowe, D.D.S. - Orthodontist
Dr. Mark Lowe graduated from University of California, San Francisco Dental School as well as ortho. He has been practicing for 15 years and maintains a private practice in north Fresno. Dr Lowe is a Central Valley leader in the treatment planning and practice of Invisalign Orthodontics. As part-time faculty, Dr. Lowe directs the orthodontic didactic and clinical program in the GPR.

He enjoys following all sports and is the assistant men's volleyball coach at Fresno State.

VACCHS

Jim Carbone, D.D.S. - VACCHS Chief of Dental Services
Dr. Jim Carbone graduated as valedictorian from University of California, San Francisco Dental School. He has practiced at VA Central California Health System for 25 years, and in the last six years, he served as chief of Dental Services.
He is the current chair of the Institutional Review Board at the VA, where he is coordinating ongoing research studies.

Dr. Carbone's hobbies include backpacking, running, reading a good book, gardening and following Fresno State Athletics.

Debra Pope, D.M.D. - VA
Dr. Debra Pope graduated from Temple University and completed her GPR at Sepulveda VA. She has been with the Veteran's Administration Dental Clinic for more than 15 years.

In her free time, she enjoys snow skiing and raising and working with horses.

Vince Mach, C.D.T.
Vince Mach has been a CDT since 1976. He works full-time for the VA Dental Clinic and has his own dental lab, Mach Dental Arts. He has worked with just about every implant system on the market and is highly knowledgable on mutiple systems.

He enjoys helping out with his church, softball, teaching, coaching, and following the SF Giants and Fresno State Athletics.

John Greico, D.D.S. - VA Prosthodontist
Dr. John Greico graduated from University of California- Los Angeles and completed his prosthodontic training at VA Medical Center Sepulveda. He has been in private practice for 28 years and at VA Central California Health System for 16 years. He oversees residents in the VA dental clinic working with implant treatment planning, placement and restoration.
He is actively involved with the Fresno-Madera Dental Society as a member of the Board of Directors.

In his leisure time, Dr. Greico enjoys spending time with his children, travelling, skiing, fishing and playing racquetball.

Douglas Gilio, D.D.S. - VA Periodontist
Dr. Douglas Gilio graduated from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry and in Periodontics. He is active in the use and training of dentists in the field of lasers. Dr. Gilio has a private practice that is limited to periodontics and implants.
He is a consultant and trains the GPR doctors in periodontal procedures at VA Central California Healthcare System. He also is a former periodontal clinical instructor at the University of Southern California.

His hobbies include photography, jogging, foreign travel and cooking.
