A "Triple" Return on Investment:
The story of how an auto dealer helped us gear up to deliver a high-risk trio

When Jerry Pajouh contributed to Community Medical Centers, he never had triplets on his mind.

Neither did the Peters family until an ultra sound for Cadee Peters showed she carried three tiny babies – two more than she expected.

But because seeing tiny babies through their first delicate weeks of life is a huge challenge, now Cadee needed specialized care from top specialists at the Valley’s only high risk antepartum unit at Community Regional Medical Center—just one of the unique programs that contributions like Jerry’s support.

Last year alone, there were 1,400 high risk deliveries at Community Regional, which staffs a neonatologist 24 hours a day, seven days a week, as well as respiratory therapists and a highly trained newborn-care staff.

And for Cadee, it was that extra care that made the difference.

“Once my girls were delivered, my doctor insisted that they share the same bed,” Cadee said. “And once they were together, the IV’s came out, they started breathing on their own, and they ate much better. That’s why I think they came home as early as they did.”

As the Valley’s only Regional Medical Center, Community offers unique and cutting-edge services right here at home – from the Level 1 trauma services to the only burn center in the Central Valley.  From one of the first hospitals in the world to have no-incision CyberKnife surgery to being top in the state for orthopedic procedures.

“When I first came to Fresno, you had to go to San Francisco or Los Angeles to receive top-notch medical care,” Jerry said. “We now have world-class health care technology and physicians because people support Community Medical Centers.”

Cadee Peters has three good reasons to agree. “If you have a high risk, or any pregnancy, there’s no place better than Community. It’s fantastic!”

Which brings Jerry Pajouh the personal satisfaction he’s looking for. “When you give without expectations, it just keeps coming back to you.”
