The Shakers are a group of emerging professionals that raise funds and promote the health status of the community for the benefit of Community Medical Centers. Members of The Shakers represent a broad range of local businesses and industries including: law, financial services, local government, health and wellness, media and real estate.
 
The Shakers host two events each year. The first is a fundraising event that is held each Spring and tickets are sold to the general public. This Spring's event, Shakers Go Global, was held on April 26, 2008 at Fresno City Hall. All proceeds benefit the new Table Mountain Rancheria Trauma Center located at Community Regional Medical. 

The second event is held each August for the incoming and current residents of the UCSF-Fresno residency program. This event is hosted by The Shakers for UCSF-Fresno residents and faculty, Community Medical Centers management, board members, private physicians and special guests. Through generous sponsorships, The Shakers host this event free of charge. Casino Royale is an event for residents to meet other emerging professionals in Fresno and to have a fun and relaxing evening!
 
The Shakers also volunteer their time for other annual Community Medical Centers events including Fill the Helmet (September) and the Weber BMW Golf Tournament (June).
