Sports Medicine
Community Medical Centers’ Sports Medicine Program brings together various services within our hospital-based system.
Community SPORT Center:
Provides physical therapy for sports-related injuries. Our facility is equipped and staffed to meet the comprehensive needs of patients recovering from surgeries, injuries and illnesses. Our highly trained team of physical therapists has years of experience and treats all types of foot/ankle, knee, shoulder and back/neck injuries.
Our 6,000-square-foot Training Center is perfect for anyone interested in fine tuning their “game” and staying injury-free. We offer performance enhancement testing, nutrition education and body fat testing. Our Keiser pneumatic air weight machines digitally track an athlete’s progress so we can design a workout program tailored to individual fitness goals.
We provide athletic training services to local high schools and professional sports teams in Fresno. Our athletic trainers are responsible for evaluating and coordinating the sports medicine needs of athletes within the Fresno Unified, Central Unified and Clovis Unified School districts. Comprehensive sports medicine coverage also is provided for professional teams, including the Fresno Falcons hockey team and Central Valley Coyotes Arena2 Football Team.
Clovis Community Medical Center:
Many of the surgeries related to sports injuries are performed in the Outpatient Care Center at Clovis Community Medical Center. This 48,000-square-foot addition to the main hospital is equipped with six operating rooms, patient pre-op, an endoscopy suite, laboratory, radiology services and an MRI suite.
