Community’s Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program is nationally certified with the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR).

There is no cure for chronic pulmonary disease but Community’s Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program can help patients maximize their quality of life.
This out-patient treatment provides a set of tools and disciplines that address the many needs of pulmonary patients.
For those who suffer from a progressive lung disease, simple daily tasks once performed with ease now require more effort and focus. To help these patients maximize their quality of life, Community’s Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program centers on self-management techniques, exercise, functional training and psychosocial skills.
A monthly support group and maintenance exercise program are available when patients complete the program.
Patients remain under the care of their physician(s) while working with the professionals of our Pulmonary Rehabilitation team. Evaluations outlining the patient’s progress are sent to their physician(s).

Admission Criteria:
- Physician referral
- Desire for symptomatic improvement
- Motivation to carry out desired goals
- Medically stable
- Non-smoker
Insurance:
Medicare and most private insurance plans cover 80% of the cost of the program.
