In December 2007, Community Regional Medical Center opened its 52-bed state-of-the-art neurosciences unit on the 9th floor in the main hospital. The unit is dedicated to caring for patients with a variety of neurological conditions such as brain injuries and tumors, spinal disorders, neuromuscular conditions, stroke and epilepsy.

Here, patients are closely monitored by a group of nurses who are specially trained in neurological conditions, disorders and symptoms. They also receive ongoing education deliver the best care possible to our patients.

The unit also is home to specialized monitoring equipment designed specifically to assist neurology patients. With step-down ICU capabilities, this unit provides neurological care to patients who are coming out of intensive care.

The unit features large inpatient rooms and a relaxing environment designed with patient comfort in mind.
